The context

A workflow worth connecting.

Field operations involve connected tasks, evidence photos, attendance, and material movements. Users need their supported actions and attachments to survive an interruption rather than depend on a temporary camera file or uninterrupted network.

What the project covers

  • Selfie and location attendance, project tasks, and quality checks
  • Meeting follow-ups, business prospects, and reimbursements
  • Inventory and logistics records with supporting attachments
  • Account- and company-scoped cache and persistent operation queues

The connected workflow

  1. 01Capture supported field work
  2. 02Persist data and attachments
  3. 03Process dependent requests
  4. 04Update sync status

Inside the implementation

Engineering decisions.

01

Persist both work and evidence

Drift stores cache and queued operations. Photos and documents are copied into persistent storage before processing so queued work does not depend on temporary files.

02

Respect dependencies during sync

Outbox processing, retries, and stable idempotency keys support repeated delivery. Dependent actions such as check-out wait for check-in synchronization.

03

Keep modules and sessions predictable

Riverpod, GoRouter, and Dio separate state, navigation, and API concerns. Secure session storage and scoped cache prevent local data from crossing account or company contexts.

Scope & validation

Offline support applies selectively to attendance, project work/QC, and logistics, depending on policy and configuration. Offline access also depends on data already present on the device; not every module is available offline.
